Option 2: Prior Learning PortfolioMature adult students who have amassed a wealth of academic knowledge and expertise and who are seeking advanced standing for college equivalent credits acquired outside the traditional classroom must complete and document a Prior Learning Portfolio. This Portfolio MUST be requested from Seekers International Office at: P.O. Box 362, Northampton. U.K. NN5 7WY. The learning experiences from outside structured situations which can produce potentially applicable academic credits include in-service training, workshops, seminars, community education courses, as well as independent study. The Prior Learning Portfolio is a very detailed, comprehensive report documenting all outside learning experiences that you wish assessed for academic credit. The PLP should include all learning gained after high school but before enrolment at Seekers International. The PLP must not include college courses for which transfer credit is being sought. Learning and life experiences which can be equated with knowledge and skills should be included. In some cases, where the wealth of academic knowledge and expertise is considerable, the only requirement may be a thesis or dissertation.
