Degree RequirementsLike all other establishments of higher education and learning, Seekers International, assign certain course requirements for all students who are seeking to earn a diploma or degree in areas of study specifically referred to as the student’s major. The number of pre-approved credits required and granted by Seekers International to qualify for a diploma or degree from Rhema University is as follows:- Certificate in Biblical Studies: Requires 30 creditsPotential students who have not attained G.C.S.E. or G.E.D. status and whose Christian education is limited are required to begin their studies by enrolling in the Certificate Course. This course will afford them with a basic foundation for further study. Diploma in Practical Theology: Requires 60 credits.A G.C.S.E., G.E.D. or equivalent is required for college credit. Those without a school leaving certificate may study the course to enhance their biblical knowledge and for personal enrichment. A Course Assignment of not less than 1,000 words. Associate of Biblical Studies: Requires 90 credits.A G.C.S.E., or G.E.D. or equivalent, and at least 30 earned transferable theological credits [including life-experience credits]. A Course Assignment of not less than 2,000 words is also needed. Bachelor’s Degree: Requires 120 credits.A G.C.S.E., or G.E.D. or equivalent, and at least 90 earned, transferable, theological credits [including life-experience]. A Course Project of not less than 5,000 words is needed. Master’s Degree: Requires 165 credits.You are eligible to enter a Master’s Degree course if you have at least 120 earned, transferable, theological credits and a Bachelor’s Degree [including prior-learning experience] from an approved college seminary or university. A Master’s Thesis of not less than 8,000 words is also required. Doctoral Degree: Requires 210 credits.You may enter one of our Doctoral Degree Courses if you have an earned Master’s Degree, at least 150 earned, theological transferable credits [including prior-learning experience]. The courses are flexible in order to allow the individual needs of the student to be met. The course consists of writing a research dissertation that relates to the degree major. The subject matter of such dissertations may be in any church related field. The average length of a research dissertation is about 70 pages. Some submit from 200 to 300 pages, although the majority are between 60 to 120 pages.
